B-10 Bomber Wood Model Airplane:
The USAAC used the B-10 to evaluate precision bombing tactics with the new Norden bombsight. A few B-10s were fitted with floats and operated as coastal-patrol aircraft. However, aircraft design was moving rapidly at the time, and beginning in 1936 the B-10 was gradually retired to second-line roles such as target towing or training. 119 of the total of 151 B-10 bombers obtained by the USAAC were still flying in such second-line roles in 1940, when they were finally removed from service.
